On the course and candidates will learn the following skills:
- Primary Survey (DRABCD)
- Unconscious Casualty
- Recovery Position
- Adult Resuscitation (CPR)

This course is aimed at anyone who wants to learn basic first aid skills. There is no minimum age, unlike other courses, which opens the door to schools, youth clubs, sports clubs and other similar clubs.
At the end of the course, candidates receive a certificate, which is valid for three years. It is a recognised qualification that can be used as part of CPD within the workplace and gives an individual the confidence to deal with an emergency situation. Annual refresher training is recommended.
